For five decades on Labour Day Sunday, the Lions Club of Fernie has hosted the Lions Demolition Derby in one big, wild smash-em-up celebration of summer. This year, 2024, marks the 50th anniversary of the event and plans are underway for a huge celebration!

About The Event
For five decades on Labour Day Sunday, the Lions Club of Fernie has hosted the Lions Demolition Derby in one big, wild smash-em-up celebration of summer.
This year, 2024, marks the 50th anniversary of the event and plans are underway for a huge celebration!
All proceeds go to the Fernie Lions to support local charities, seniors and youth groups and sports.
Event info, subject to change:- Gates open at 11am
- A CASH ONLY EVENT - be sure to bring enough to enjoy everything!
- Admission: $20 per adult 18+, $10 per student/youth 11 & up, children 10 and under are free
- Tickets available at the door only!
- Competition begins at Noon Competitions for Regular Cars, Small Cars & Pick up Trucks
- $5,000 1st place prize in full-size car event!
- Concession and refreshments are available.
- Huge 50-50 draw!
- Beer garden (19+ for admission)
- Bouncy castles for the kids!
- Ear protectors for kids and bandanas for the dust are recommended
- Concession stand & Pizza
- Demo Derby Apparal for sale - all proceeds support the Fernie Lions Club
- No dogs - please leave your furry friends at home
- Registration begins at 8am
