There’s no festival like MASSiF. Because we’re not really a festival.

We’re more like a pretty big party with your newest best friends. It’s that time when a whole bunch of fn cool bands came to play hard and hang out and eat delicious homemade food, made possible by small group of volunteers who love music as much as you do, all in a sweet town under mountains overlooking a lake. WTF is this paradise, anyway?

We don’t tolerate jerks, and there’s no crybabies allowed. Everyone is here to have sweaty, loud and safe FUN.

Featuring a meticulously chosen line up, we have a MANDATE. We want to increase gender diversity in heavy music, and to foster opportunities for underrepresented bands to play together.

We’re super good at it. Located in the nether regions of British Columbia’s mountainous interior, MASSiF has been blowing minds and eardrums in Nelson BC since 2016.
