With local support from RedGirl. With their roots in Peace River, AB, the Misery Mountain Boys have been based out of Edmonton since 2012, and have steadily built a reputation as one of the cities most exciting and unique live acts. After rambling through bluegrass circles, western swing standards, and getting lost in the world of Gypsy jazz, the Misery Mountain Boys have landed upon their own unique brand of swing, taking their traditional instrumentation to more creative and sometimes unexpected places. With their first European tour under their belts, the band's sound and live performance is more refined than ever, with fun and uptempo music to keep your feet shuffling all night long. Their third studio release, ‘Moon Dog and the Familiar Spirits’ pays homage to an other-worldly adventure, set in Alberta’s Northern Boreal Forest, one summer solstice night.
