Simon Leoza (also known under the pseudonym Tambour) composes instrumental music that is sometimes contemplative and sensitive, poignant, straddling neoclassical, ambient and electronic minimalism. With over 8 million listens online (Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud), his works have garnered national and international critical attention, described as melancholic and grandiose, blending soft acoustics with dreamy landscapes steeped in nostalgia. Known for his breathtaking music videos and short films, Simon Leoza has won two SOCAN Foundation Young Composers Awards for Best Original Soundtrack - Fiction and Best Original Theme. The artist has also composed the music for several short films, plays and other artistic projects, and he distinguished himself at the 2021 ADISQ Gala with a stunning performance, in addition to winning a Félix for his virtual show at La Maison Symphonique de Montréal. Following the success of his first full-length album, Albatross, as well as his tour by the same name, Simon Leoza brings his latest music to our stage which combines acoustic and electronic instruments with a unique lighting and projection design.
