The future of the outdoor recreation industry is inviting the Whitewater Ski Resort community to ride out the season in amazing fashion

The annual SROAMazing Race is all set for Whitewater on Friday, March 22 where the spring riding vibe will add a disco beat and include a variety of family-friendly activities and challenges.

Organized by first-year students in the Ski Resort Operations & Management (SROAM) Program, this team event promises a stellar day of fun.

Participation in the SROAMazing Race requires teams of four snow-lovers of any age, so get your friends and family together to spend a great day on the mountain. Teams are encouraged to wear their most vibrant and awesome disco-themed costumes while taking part in day’s fun activities. There are prizes up for grabs in a number of categories, including best-dressed.

Entry into the SROAMazing Race is $40 per team (cash only) with proceeds going towards the Avalanche Awareness Beyond the Boundary Society (A.A.B.B.S.), which is a non-profit society formed to provide free/affordable Avalanche Skills Training to youth between the ages of 13 to 18 in the Kootenay area. Participation grants you entry into a raffle for numerous terrific prizes.

⁠The SROAMazing race will kick off at 12:00pm and registration will be open at 10:00am if you have not yet registered. Get your disco costumes ready and come join us for an awesome day at Whitewater!

Registration is open at the Whitewater Downtown Office until 5:00pm on March 21, 2024.

Registration the day of the event will open at Whitewater Ski Resort at 10:00am.
