EVENT DESCRIPTION
Steve Marc is an upbeat and uplifting calypso/reggae band with hints of funk and grooves you can’t help but move to. Featuring a small but mighty horn section and luscious harmony background vocalists, Steve’s unique songwriting prowess will move you in more ways than one. This six piece band brings fun, love and energy to the stage with creative arrangements of cover songs known and unknown, mixed in with mostly original songs you will surely come to love. What is a Peace Dance? “Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do and something you give away.” Robert Fulghum Simply put, Peace Dance is performance with intention. The intention of gathering in peace, to spread peace by being and advocating for peace. Steve Marc’s lyrical content is full of this intention and his music is very upbeat and danceable with feel-good reggae and calypso rhythms/grooves. Let’s come together to celebrate our similarities and our symbiotic relationships with each other, our community and our environment. Everyone, everywhere is welcomed to join. To be is to do. To be peace is to breed peace. Individually, one by one, one dance step at a time; let us be the peace that we want to see and spread it far and wide like the wood wide web of mycelium below our feet. Let’s make the world a better place through music and dance together, as one, because we are. “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will have peace” Jimi Hendrix
